David Kumah

David Kumah is a 14-year-old student who lives in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England.

David first became a published writer when his poem The Trees was selected for the Young Writers anthology The Power of Poetry – Hidden Depths, published on 13th January 2023. This early recognition inspired him to keep writing and sharing his thoughts with the world.

When he’s not writing, David sings, composes music, or shares his original songs on his YouTube channel. He played a lead role as Gomez in The Addams Family musical, showcased at the Uppingham Theatre in Leicester, and most recently appeared as Kenicke in Grease the Musical as part of his drama school performance, showcased at CAST in Doncaster.

At school, David is a proud member of the Gentlemen’s Choir, plays guitar in both the Jazz Orchestra and the Senior Guitar Orchestra, and has recently started learning to play the keyboard. His passion for music is matched by his love of sports—he plays both rugby and hockey with great energy and team spirit.

David dreams of seeing his stories come to life on screen one day and hopes to inspire young people everywhere to follow their passions and believe in the power of their dreams.
